Polasek Indicted for Injury in July 4 Infant Death

A local man was indicted last week for injury to a child in a case stemming from death of seven-month-old Logan Atkins of La Grange earlier this year.

The Fayette County Grand Jury indicted 33-year-old Billy Polasek of La Grange for the first degree felony charge on Thursday, Nov. 10. District attorney Peggy Supak said Atkins’ autopsy showed that he died of blunt force trauma to the head. 

Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reported days after the death that Atkins’ mother called 911 around noon on July 4 reporting that the infant had drowned in a bathtub at a home near Oldenburg.
