Lillian Teinert
Visitation for Lillian Teinert will will be held held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda.
Lillian was born on Sept. 10, 1927 in Winchester to Alvina Nakunz Noack and Paul O. Noack. She attended school in Winchester and married Leon Herbert Teinert Sr. at St Michael’s Church in Winchester on Oct. 5, 1947.
Lillian was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda, where she was a member of the Warda Ladies Aid. She was also, a member of the Warda EH Club. She was a housewife and a well known seamstress. Her sewing skills led her to being asked to judge many sewing events locally and throughout the State. She loved sewing, cooking, gardening, and painting. She donated countless baked goods to local churches, clubs, and fundraisers. She was also, a Breast Cancer Survivor.
Lillian is survived by her children: Leon Teinert Jr. and his wife Janice, Peggy Teinert Fuller and her husband Allen, Rosemary Teinert Gatlin and her husband Dan, Mike Teinert and his wife Diana, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and granddaughter, Katie Teinert.
The family suggests memorials go to the Katie Teinert Scholarship Fund at P.O. Box 100 La Grange, Texas 78945.
Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
