Jesus Rodriguez 78, of Fayetteville, died on Jan. 17, 2017. Jesus (Jesse), was born in Robstown on March 3, 1938. He married Alma Garza on Aug. 25, 1962 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Robstown. Jesse earned an Associates degree from Del Mar Tech in Corpus Christi. He worked at Union Carbide in Louisiana, Texas Instruments, Houston Chronicle and St.Luke’s Hospital. Jesse was Honorably Discharged from the National Guard. He was an active member of The Knights of Columbus in Robstown and Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Alma; his sons, Eddie and his wife, Adriana, and Philip A. Rodriguez; his daughter, Deborah Campos and her husband, Christopher Campos. He had four grandchildren, Lynsey M. Campos, Brandon C. Campos, Evan Rodriguez, and Elliott Rodriguez. He is survived by one brother, Jose Rodriguez and wife Angie from Dallas and several nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Zaragoza and Herlinda Rodriguez of Robstown, as well as two sisters, Francis Garcia and Lydia Cisneros of Robstown. Visitation was held at Pat H. Foley & Co. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Houston. Pat H. Foley & Co. Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
