Laurann Vasek

Laurann Vasek, 56, of Austin, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017.

Laurann was born in La Grange on Oct. 8, 1960, the daughter of Anton T. Vasek and Angela (Kubecka) Vasek.

Laurann attended St. Edward’s University. She worked for the Texas Legislature and was a clothing model for a few years. Laurann was a jewelry and a Christmas ornament designer.

She is survived by her father, Anton Vasek, of La Grange and brother, Barry Vasek and wife, Debbie, of Austin; nephew, Andrew Bartus and wife, Laura, of Corona, Calif.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. An inurnment will be held at 4 p.m. at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Columbarium, 936 FM 2436, in La Grange.
