Remember When?

Feb. 16-21, 1967 Fayette County Commissioners awarded a $3,900 contract for courthouse lawn improvements to Rufus Altmann. The project included replacement of chipped or broken concrete sidewalks, a new sidewalk around the perimeter of the Fayette County Courthouse Square and construction of a five-pointed star in the southern corner area. A flagpole to be placed in the center of the star was not included in the contract.
