Norma Jeanne (Pries) Allen, 88, of La Grange, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017. Norma was born in Oak Park, Ill. on Dec. 19, 1928, the daughter of Erwin John Pries and Helen (Sanftleben) Pries. She was raised in Oak Park and other western suburbs in the Chicago area. Norma married George Allen on Aug. 27, 1949. They were married 52 years and raised five girls and one boy in Lombard, Ill. She is survived by daughter, Kathy (Skip) Caldwell of Smithville; daughter, Sue (Mike) Schrader of Lombard, Ill.; daughter, Bonnie Borkowski of Pine, Colo.; daughter, Judy (Bill) Byrd of Cedar Grove, Tenn.; son, Tim (Donna) Allen of Katy; and daughter, Nancy (Russ) Williams of Bertram; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and Aunt, Great Aunt, Godmother, cousin and friend to many. Memorial services will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
