Whitley

Patsy (Meinke) Whitley, 64, of Winchester, died Saturday, March 25, 2017. Patsy was born in Alvin on Jan. 7, 1953, the daughter of John and Mary (Coffey) Meinke. She married Ernie Whitley on March 3, 1972 in Alvin. Patsy was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her husband. She is survived by her husband, Ernie; of 45 years; three sisters: Anna Sue Whitley and husband, Willard, of Alvin; Johnnie Roberson of La Grange; Betty Moro and husband, Bill, of Alvin; brother, Larry Meinke and wife, Patty, of Evant; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three other siblings. The family will celebrate her life with a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to American Diabetes Association or a charity of one’s choice.
