First Baptist Planning Big Event For Easter Sunday

For the second consecutive year, the First Baptist Church of La Grange will be hosting a massive public Easter Sunday Service at the Sanford Schmid Amphitheater at the Fayette County Fairgrounds.

Last year’s event drew more than 500 people.

“There’s just something great about being outside on that day,” said Pastor Jonathan Smith. “This year we are actually going to bring in extra seating.”

The event is free for all guests. The service begins at 10:30 a.m. All families will get a free copy of the Lee Strobel’s book “The Case for Easter.” There will also be a Easter egg hunt for kids.
