Navidad Valley CattleWomen Hold First Ever Fill-a-Boot Contest at Sausagefest

Navidad Valley CattleWomen (NVCW) held a boot decorating contest at the Schulenburg Sausage Fest on April 1.

FFA and 4-H members in Fayette, Lavaca and Colorado counties were invited to participate. It was a team project which encouraged students to collaborate and work together to plan, organize and create a final product which they then exhibited on behalf of their organization. The public who attended the Sausage Fest were able to “vote” by making donations to the Navidad Valley CattleWomen scholarship fund in the specific voting box that was connected to the boot entry they liked the most.
