Funeral services for Ruby Helen Brewer, 84, of Ellinger were held Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange with interment following in the Ellinger Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Ruby was born Jan. 10, 1933 in Bremond to Samuel and Ruby Ethel O’Connell Sims. Ruby was married to Doug Brewer for the past 41 years. Ruby was a waitress. Ruby is survived by her husband, Douglas Mason Brewer of Ellinger; two sons, Danny Alan King of Georgetown and Damon Aubrey Wayne King of Franklin; two step-children; Gayle Dunn of Bedford and Alton King of Georgetown; one daughter and son-in-law, Nelda and Raymond Machouvsky of Temple; one brother; James Sims of Ladson, S.C.; sister; Mary Lou Moore of Hewitt; six grandchildren, Brenda Gail Machouvsky, Michelle Tucker, Dannon King, Kyle King, Carson King, and Moriah Rose Prince; and four great-grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bill, James, Charles, and Donald Sims; and one sister, Maudie Walters. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
