Gross receipts for the fourth annual La Grange Noon Lions Club three-day radio auction were $2,717.16, according to club president Amos Pavlik. Materials and gift certificates valued at over $3,300 were contributed for the raffle and all profits were pledged to the Early Texas Heritage Foundation to help build the new amphitheater on Monument Hill. Gross receipts in 1966 had been $2,852.84. Erwin W. Janssen was general chairman of the 1967 event.
