DeMarkkus Rashaad Johnson, 25, of Houston, formerly of La Grange, died Sunday, June 25, 2017. DeMarkkus was born May 4, 1992 to Kristie T. Candrick and Freddie Johnson in Houston. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church in Plum. He is survived by his parents, Kristie T. Candrick of Katy and Freddie Johson of Katy; sisters, DeMetriaah Johnson, DeVetriaah Johnson, and De- Jahanee Johnson, all of Katy; brothers, DeToriyahn Johnson of Houston and Joseph Johnson of Katy; grandmother, Thelma Devroe of La Grange; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. Friends and family are invited to Tommy E Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 2 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at St. James Baptist Church in Plum with the Rev. Austin Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery. Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange was is in charge of arrangements.
