James Milton Chelette

James Milton Chelette, Sr. age 77 of La Grange passed away on July 10, 2017. James was born on June 22, 1940 in Port Arthur to Leo Lloyd Chelette, Sr. and Marie Juneau. He was a retired computer programmer for Dupont and a self-trained master carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Judith K. (Whitson) Chelette; two daughters, Julianna Platt and her husband Lathen Gary Platt and their children, Cheyne Garrard Platt and Shawn Kelvin Platt and Marianna Ladd and her husband Kenneth Leonard Ladd, Jr.; two grandchildren, Jared Minnaert Chelette and Georgia Kate Chelette; one brother, Leo Lloyd Chelette, Jr. and his wife Margaret and one sister, Beverly and her husband Harold Boles. He is also survived by his best friends, Julius and Brenda Levy. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one son, James Milton Chelette, Jr. Graveside services were Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Williams Creek Cemetery near La Grange with Brother Ellis McKinzie officiating.
