JoLane “Lani” Alvarado Schwenke

JoLane “Lani” Alvarado Schwenke, 55, died Aug. 9, 2017 after a long battle with multiple health issues. JoLane was born in La Grange to Gilbert and Josephine “Josie” Alvarado on May 11, 1962. She was raised in Schulenburg by her mother and then upon Josie’s passing, by her grandparents, Domingo and Eva Alvarado. The Rosary was held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, followed by the funeral service and being laid to rest in the St. Rose of Lima Mausoleum. Left behind were her husband, Lloyd Schwenke of Schulenburg, daughter, Tristan “T.J.” Schwenke of Round Rock, and son, Grant Schwenke of Huntsville. Other survivors include her sister, Dori Alvarado of Austin; brother, Eric Alvarado and wife Rebecca of Buda; halfsister, Tanisa Hickman, and halfbrothers Guy Steven Alvarado and Sky Alvarado of California. She is also survived by nieces: Kim Hand, Ashley Hanslik, Megan Jackson and Nathalie Alvarado; nephews, Edward Schwenke, Kevin Kutac, Derek Schwenke, Joshua Alvarado and Calum Alvarado. Preceding her in death were her parents and grandparents.
