Here's a press release from the Office of the Fayette County Judge Fayette County Tropical Storm Harvey,
August 27, 2017 issued at 5 a.m.

Fayette County and City of La Grange officials have met early this morning to discuss flood operations.  Flooding expectations have increased since the majority of our residence went to sleep last night.  Overnight, significant and persistent rain fell over the northern half of Fayette County resulting in a higher than originally predicted flood stage of the Colorado River and surrounding tributaries.

Anyone who feels unsafe to report to the local shelters at the Second Baptist Church in La Grange or the Schulenburg Old Gym.  Dial 911 for emergencies.

Turn around, don’t drown.

Flooded roadways are posted at www.atxfloods.com and information is posted at www.co.fayette.tx.us and the Fayette County EMS facebook page.
