HEB Offerings Recovery Cleaning Kits to Flood Victims

HEB of La Grange is offering free recovery cleaning kits to those afected by the flood. The kits include cleaning supplies for those trying to re-enter their homes.

The kits can be picked up on the east side of HEB, located at 405 E. Travis Street today and tomorrow, Sept. 1-2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HEB is also hosting an "H-E-Buddy Ice Cream Social" at the store from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 2. Everyone in the community is invited.

HEB spokesperson Tamra Jones said more than 60 HEB partners from across the state have been in La Grange helping out with the recovery effort. The store donated an entire truckload of water to La Grange residents this week. The store also provided breakfast, snacks and toiletries to the shelter at La Grange Second Baptist Church, along with shelters in Bastrop and Smithville.
