LaGrange, Indiana Offering Help with Flood Relief Here

Pastor Jonathan Smith of La Grange First Baptist Church traveled to LaGrange, Indiana, on Thursday, Sept. 7, to meet with community leaders who are interested in assisting impacted residents of La Grange, Texas. That town is the county seat of LaGrange county (they don’t use a space). The town sits just south of the Michigan border. 

Smith was scheduled to speak at their Friday night football game. The team there is called the Lakeville Lakers. The punter and kicker for the Lakers wore La Grange Leopards jerseys during the game.

“It all started as a pass-the-boot fundraiser at a football game and it became a county-wide effort,” Smith said. “All school districts in LaGrange County are giving to our ministerial alliance disaster fund.
