Peggy Marie (Johnson) Fuentes,

Peggy Marie (Johnson) Fuentes, 61, died on Sept. 19, 2017. She was born on Nov. 4, 1955 in Freeport to Kittie and Roy Dale Johnson. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to helping others when in need. She was the life of the party and had the kindest heart. She will continue to remind us all what a wonderful person can be. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Nic Fuentes and daughter Shanna Fuentes- Steel and husband David Steel; sister Michelle (Johnson) Drab and husband Larry “Butch” Drab; granddaughter, Errin Von Minden and Josh “Butchie” Schneider; grandson, Kadein Fuentes; great-grandchild, Kynsley Schneider and future great-grandchild, Marie Schneider; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a service promptly starting at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fayette County EMS and the La Grange Fire Department. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange is in charge of arrangements.
