Mary “Charlene” Rightmer Seale

Mary “Charlene” Rightmer Seale went to her heavenly home on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017. She was born on July 6, 1928, in Muldoon to Lois Odel Syler Rightmer and Charlie Horace Rightmer. Her early years were spent in Muldoon, then she moved to Houston where she met her husband, Billy Sydney Seale. They were married on Nov. 26, 1947, at the Muldoon Baptist Church. Charlene’s professional career, included years as a secretary for Humble Oil, Kleberg 1st National Bank of Kingsville, First Baptist Church of La Grange, and KVLG. Her personal career included serving the church in various capacities. She loved her Lord and it showed in her outreach with family and friends. Charlene loved to travel, and became “Mimi”, who loved to dote on her grandkids and great grandkids. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Peggy Lynn McAdams Smith; her parents and many other relatives. She is survived by her daughter, Patti Kay Seale Holly, and her husband, Dale; three grandchildren, Matthew Crainer and wife, Jassy, of Carrizo Springs; Mark Holly and wife, JoAnne, of Huntsville; and McKinsey McAdams Copeland and husband, Barron, of Georgetown; and seven great grandchildren, Tanner and Taylor Holly; Trevor, Avery and Tuff Crainer; and Emery Kate and Walker Copeland. Charlene is also survived by siblings, Harrell Rightmer and wife, Billie Jean, of Schulenburg; and Gussie Stien and husband, Hugo, of San Antonio. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Koenig Strickland Funeral Home, 208 W. Pearl Street in La Grange, on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m. Services will be at Second Baptist Church, 1010 N. Von Minden St. in La Grange, on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Pitman Cemetery in Muldoon. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Charlene’s life at Muldoon Mercantile on Hwy. 154 in Muldoon after the interment. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Schulenburg Regency Assisted Living and Nursing Home, and most recently the love and care of those at Sodalis of Victoria. She was so blessed to have numerous caregivers that gave of their time, hearts, and love, and to them, the family owes the deepest of gratitude. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, Crown Hospice of Victoria, or the charity of one’s choice.
