Massey Subdivides Compound Property Near Round Top For Full-Time Antiques Presence

A few businesses may be coming to Mark Massey’s “Compound” development near Round Top. Massey appeared at a Fayette County Commissioners Court meeting on Monday, Sept. 25, to answer questions about his application for a land subdivision at the Compound property.

Massey is splitting his 57-acre property into five tracts: a 35-acre tract, a 16-acre tract, and three two-acre tracts. Massey said he plans to retain the 35-acre tract, which includes The Compound, an event and entertainment venue located two miles south of Round Top. He plans to sell the other four.

“I know some dealers from the antiques shows who are looking for a full-time Round Top presence,” Massey said in an interview with the Record on Tuesday.

“Not just during the year, but also a place for the spring and fall shows where they can have a showroom and display area instead of having to rent from a venue.”
