Funeral services for Richard C. Boriack, 89, of Lincoln, were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln with Rev. Dale Bohm officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Richard Carl Boriack, the son of Charles and Ida (Umlang) Boriack, was born on June 25, 1928 in Lincoln. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Malinda Schneider on Dec. 27, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor. Richard died early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at Burleson St. Joseph Manor in Caldwell. Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Boriack of Lincoln; two sons, Robert Boriack and his wife, Jaquita of Carrollton and Donald Boriack and his wife, Karen of Fedor; daughter-in-law, Catherine Boriack of Katy; grandson, Matthew Boriack of Katy and by Robert and Jaquita’s daughters, Brandi Zabojnik and her husband, Lance and their children of Carrollton and Brinca Dirr and her husband, Andy and their children of Plano; two sisters, Lorene Proske and her husband, Lawrence of Lincoln and Jeanette Knippa of Lincoln; three sisters- in- law, Helen Schneider of Dime Box, Marilyn Woelfel of Fedor and Irene Boriack Schneider of Giddings as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
