Stastny
Frank Stastny, 99, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017. Frank was born in Fayetteville on Nov. 15, 1917 the son of Frank J. and Annie (Baca) Stastny. He married Agnes Supak on January 22, 1946 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellinger. Frank served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He then worked on his farm and later as a gravel pit dragline operator at Lone Star Industries from 1957 to 1982. He enjoyed planting, harvesting corn, cotton, hay and tending to his cattle, gardening, playing cards, dominoes and bingo. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and sang in the church choir. He is survived by: son, James Stastny and wife, Colleen of Fayetteville; daughter, Frances Wubbenhorst and husband, Gary of Jersey Village; son, David Stastny and wife, Patricia of Fayetteville; grandchildren: Nicole Oncale and husband, Garrett; Donica Subieta and husband, Fabio; Lisa Wubbenhorst; Dr. Terra Wubbenhorst and husband, Sean Hardesty; Christopher, Brian and Jason Stastny; great grandchildren: Anthony and Lucas Subieta; Adelaide, Emmett and Hilda Hardesty. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother- in- law, Frank and Mary Supak; brother, Edwin and Mary (Libby) Stastny; John and Angeline Stastny. Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel in Fayetteville. Family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. A Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel. Funeral Services were held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017. Burial followed at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, P.O. Box 57, Fayetteville, Texas 78940.
