Muldoon Residents Welcome New Grandaughter Tuesday

Pimy and Michael Saunders are proud to be the grandparents to another sweet little girl. Their son, Michael Saunders, Jr. and his wife Christina welcomed their newest daughter Blakely Rae Saunders into the family on Tuesday morning. Blakely weighted seven pounds eleven ounces and measured nineteen and three quarter inches long. She was welcomed home by big sister Landry. Also welcoming this bundle of joy are her great grandparents, Wanda Saunders, Mike and Joy Hostetter, and Aunts Madison and McKenzie Saunders. She is also the great granddaughter to Honey and the late Tom Landry.

Reiss Obituary

Area resident Eleanora Reiss passed away on Oct. 14. Services were held at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum with burial in the church cemetery. Eleanora was eightynine years old. She is survived by her husband, Henry “Sonny” Reiss of West Point, one son Michael Reiss, and his wife Cheryl of La Porte, and one daughter, Connie Petty, and her husband Warren of West Point. She also is survived by two brothers, Bernard Blaha and his wife, Marcelline of Angleton, and John Blaha and his wife, Betty of Smithville and one sister Ethlyn Michalk of La Grange. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, along with extensive local family and many friends.
