Thanksgiving Every Day

For many of us, Thanksgiving celebrations center around family, friends and food – lots of food.

Do you have turkey and dressing or ham and sweet potatoes? Does your family prefer the classic green bean casserole or a broccoli and rice dish instead? Did you make corn or squash casserole? And what about mashed potatoes and gravy?

My family, like many others, has their favorites. Unfortunately, they don’t all have the same favorites, so the menu each year depends on who is coming to dinner. Each of them will bring their favorite side dish and when they all show up, we have all of the above mentioned food items.

We then spend the rest of the holiday weekend eating the leftovers, trying to come up with creative ways to serve these items a third, fourth and fifth time.
