Jones

Wilma Dean Jones, 61 of New Ulm, died on shortly after midnight on Monday, Dec. 4. Jones was born Dec. 17, 1955, to George Edward Scott and Katherine Benford Hutchinson. She married Kenneth Ray Jones, Sr., on July 6, 1979. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in New Ulm. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, grandparents and one sister. Jones is survived by her mother; sisters Dorothy Scott, Marilyn and husband Charlie Wright, Jada and husband Rev. Walter Walker, all of La Grange; brothers Melvin Scott of Weimar, Tim and wife Sylvia Hutchison of La Grange, and Quincy and wife Toyla Hutchison of La Grange; daughters Stacy Jones of New Ulm and Leola and husband Kelsey Griffin of Humble; and son Kenneth R. Jones, Jr., of Seguin. She is also survived by seven grandchildren. Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 8, at the Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange. Funeral services took place Saturday, Dec. 9, at the West End Baptist Church in Industry with A. L. Jones, Jr., officiating. Jones was buried in the Pope Cemetery in New Ulm.
