The Twelve Days of Christmas

“On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me … a partridge in a pear tree.”

It’s a song we have all heard at least once in our lives. Growing up I liked the cumulative repetitive verses. As teenager I learned of the twelve days of the song referred to the Christmas season – Dec. 25-Jan. 6. Later, as an adult, I was exposed to the connection of the song to Christian theology.
