Crayton Receives Doctorate

Toshiba A. (King) Crayton, formerly of Fayetteville, graduated Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law-Houston on Saturday, Dec. 16. The graduation ceremony was held at Hilton Americas Ballroom Downtown Houston, followed by a reception honoring all graduates and attendees. Crayton is a 1992 graduate from Fayetteville High School, received her Associate Degree from Blinn College in 1994, her Bachelors of Arts Degree from University of Houston in 1996 a Master of Social Works Degree from University of Houston in 2000 and now her Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from South Texas College of Law. During her study at South Texas College of Law, Toshiba was a Marshall-Brennan Fellow, where she taught Houston Area High School student’s constitutional law and legal advocacy. She will take the bar exam late in February. Toshiba is married to Tommie Crayton and they have two children, Taryn and Ty, where they reside in Rosharon. Crayton is the daughter of Rucker and Linda King of Fayetteville, and granddaughter of Lula Mae Preston of La Grange.
