Dr. Neil Richard Seidel

Dr. Neil Richard Seidel, 53, of Giddings, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Neil was born in Bastrop on July 29, 1964, the son of Barbara (Michalski) and Gilbert Seidel. He married Karen (Greenberg) Seidel on Jan. 20, 1990 in String Prairie. Neil is survived by his wife, two daughters, Samantha Seidel, of College Station; Madison Seidel, of Plano; mother, Barbara Seidel of Rosanky; three sisters: Sandra Goertz and husband, Paul of Rosanky; Carolyn Hammons and husband, Ronnie of Rosanky; Peggy Lancaster and husband, Ricky of Austin; two brothers: Alan Seidel and wife, Tina of Rosanky; Chris Seidel and wife, Maureen of Katy; best friend, Kipp Galleymore of La Grange. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. Burial services will be a private event for immediate family members.
