Don’t Be That Guy

The first time she said it, I was driving south on Jefferson, about to cross Travis at the light there with HEB on the right, at the one o’clock position. The F-150 in front of me had its left-turn blinker flashing. So I anticipated going around him when the light turned green … you, know, when he pulled out into the intersection waiting for the on-coming traffic to break so he could turn left and go to Farmers or wherever. Only he didn’t pull into the intersection AS HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO.

Naturally, I broke into my standard rant when I am rudely inconvenienced for several seconds by drivers – and it’s pretty much all of them nowadays - who do not pull into the intersection while making a left turn AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO.
