Muldoon Museum To Meet Wednesday

Muldoon Museum is alive and active. They are having their monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. in the museum. Everyone is invited out to see what is happening and to participate in the progression of the museum activities.

The museum is closing in on two hundred names for the Veterans’ Memorial exhibit. They have acquired a display cabinet for veteran’s items and are getting ready to order the plaque that will go along with the items. Among the items that will be displayed is the newly donated military jacket and overcoat that belong to WWII veteran John McClanahan. When finished this will be a wonderful tribute to those from Muldoon, who have served our country.

The Muldoon Museum is always looking for new members. Those new members are needed to keep the history alive and preserved for future generations. This is where the roots of the community are preserved to grow a greater community. It is just a commitment of one afternoon a month, the first Wednesday of the month and maybe a first Saturday. The impact can be a huge one if you can touch just one life with what can be learned from history. Donations for the museum is always welcome to help with the ongoing operations.
