Remember When?

“Anyone who would steal flowers and potted plants off graves after funerals in the La Grange City Cemetery is the lowest kind of dirty thief,” Sheriff T. J. Flournoy said. “We do have an idea of who may be doing this, and sooner or later, we will catch the thief. When we do, I am going to ask the judge to assess the maximum penalty. I appeal to everyone to report anything that looks suspicious and help us catch this thief or thieves.”

Both La Grange Lions Clubs agreed to contribute net proceeds from the annual radio auction to the Little League’s $7,000 building project. In addition, the Evening Lions agreed to assume whatever indebtedness remained. The brand-spanking-new youth baseball complex was to be constructed northwest of the La Grange Recreational Association swimming pool, due north of the existing Little League field.
