Robert Wayne Deulen

Robert Wayne Deulen, 63, of Flatonia, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018. Robert was born on Aug. 12, 1954 in Umatilla, Oregon, to Alvin Charles Deulen and Mary (Kunze) Deulen. He married Verna R. (Burris) Deulen in April 1975. She died May 5, 2005. He worked as a welder and was a member of Muldoon Baptist Church in Muldoon. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Guinand and husband Thomas of Smithville; son, Alvin Deulen and fiance Barbara of Flatonia; brothers, Alan Deulen and wife Richelle of California and Neil Deulen and wife Tracy of Florida; sister, Cora Southern of Arizona; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister. Friends are invited to call Saturday, Feb. 10 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Muldoon Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Muldoon Baptist Church in Muldoon on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Will Martin and Linda Guinand officiating. Burial will follow in Pitman Cemetery in Muldoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bastrop Animal Shelter. Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
