Gracie Ann (Heaton) Myers

Gracie Ann (Heaton) Myers, 56, of Round Top, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018. Gracie was born in Ft. Worth on Aug. 14, 1961, the daughter of Walter E. and Vera (Jenkins) Heaton. She married David Myers on May 17, 1986 at the First Baptist Church in La Grange. She worked for Head Start Program with young children in daycares. Gracie continued her education even when she wasn’t working. Gracie enjoyed quilting, sewing, scrapbooking and genealogy. She was very creative. Her greatest joy were her children and her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, David, three sons: Nelson Burrow and wife, Felicia of San Antonio; Alex Myers of Round Top and Nick Myers of Round Top; three grandchildren: Keira Burrow, Kari Burrow and Zachary Burrow of San Antonio; two sisters: Debbie Briggs of Weatherford and Melody Harris of Giddings; four brothers: Wes Heaton and wife, Angel of Hamlin; Gene Heaton of Abilene; Shane Heaton of Abilene and Greg Heaton of Abilene. She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-laws, Walter E. and Betty Myers; brother, Dale Heaton; brotherin- law, Donnie Briggs. A Celebration of Life will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 208 W. Pearl St., La Grange, Texas at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship, St. David’s Foundation, 1303 San Antonio St., Austin, Texas 78701.
