Waldine Joyce (Kraemer) Cason

Waldine Joyce (Kraemer) Cason, 84, of Austin, formerly of Round Top, passed away to be with the Lord on Feb. 27, 2018. Waldine was born near Burton on June 30, 1933, the daughter of Walter and Meta (Noak) Kraemer. She attended the Latium School and later graduated from Round Top-Carmine High School. After graduation, she moved to Austin to work for the Teacher Retirement System in the bookkeeping department. She was a faithful employee for 41 years. On April 18, 1970, she married Edwin Lamar Cason. They loved to travel during their marriage. He passed away on April 24, 2004. Waldine was a long time member of the Saint Martin’s Lutheran Church in Austin. She was baptized at Round Top Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was confirmed and married there as well. She shared her Christian compassion by supporting many charities over the years. She is survived by one sister, Velorie (Kraemer) Dippel and her husband Kirby. Two loving nieces, who adored their Aunt Waldine, Vanessa Marshall and husband Bobby, and Vincentia Roberts and husband Charlie. One great nephew, Robert Marshall, and one great niece, Kristin Marshall, all of the Houston area. She is also survived by her husband’s children, Edwin Cason and wife Linda, Trina Cason and Robert Cason, and four grandchildren, Joy Graham, LeeAnn and husband Paul Perry, Edwin Cason III, and Robert Cason, and five great grandchildren, Alex and Emily Graham, Bryan and Austin Perry, and Gabriel Cason. Our sincere thanks to Cyndi Koble for her many years of faithful caring of Waldine after the death of Waldine’s husband, Lamar. The funeral for Waldine will be held at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral home in Austin on Tuesday, March 6 at 11 am with visitation available on Monday, March 5 from 6 to 8 pm. Thereafter, a brief service will be held before burial at Richter’s Cemetery in Round Top, Texas about 3 pm. You may view memorials at www.wcfish.com.
