Burial followed in the church cemetery. Albert Walter Kilian was born on June 4, 1948 in Smithville to Walter and Mildred (Zoch) Kilian. Albert never allowed having Cerebral Palsy to slow him down. He graduated from La Grange High School and received a Bachelors of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. He enjoyed being outside and was always on the go. He loved watching old Western movies. Albert always tried to stay connected with family and friends. During the 80’s he kept a CB radio strapped to his wheelchair and most recently he kept in touch through his computer by email and using Facebook. Albert was involved in an accident nearly three years ago which drastically affected his ability to be independent. His health has continued to decline and he passed away the morning of Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Trisun Care Center-Lakeside in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Allen Kilian and an infant brother. Albert is survived by his brother, Daniel Kilian and his wife, Karen of Warda; his sister-in-law, Beatrice Kilian of La Grange; one nephew, J.D. Kilian and his wife, Ashley and their children, Christa and Jacob of La Grange; one niece, Lisa Bubert and her husband, Patrick of Nashville, Tennessee; one aunt, Rose Kilian of La Grange as well as several cousins. Memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, the St. Michael’s Lutheran Cemetery Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
