Carrie E. (Spiess) Luedeker

Carrie E. (Spiess) Luedeker, 92, of Industry, died on Saturday, March 3, 2018. She was truly 92 years young - young at heart, young in mind, and always young in life! She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cared deeply for others. Carrie was born in Buckholts on July 16, 1925, the daughter of Ben G. and Ella (Rudloff) Spiess. She married Vergil Luedeker on May 16, 1945 at Welcome Lutheran Church in Welcome. She is survived by two sons: David Luedeker and wife, Glenda of Navasota; Darrel Luedeker and wife, Valerie of Spring; sister: Gladys Blezinger and husband, Luther of New Ulm; brothers: Benjamin Spiess and wife, May Dell of Welcome and John Spiess and wife, Gail of Welcome; sister-in-law: Maynola Giese and husband, Cornell of Industry; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Funeral Services were held at Welcome Lutheran Church, Welcome, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Burial followed at Welcome Lutheran Cemetery in Welcome.
