George Gowin

George Gowin died Feb. 26, 2018 in Killeen. He was born Feb. 26, 1937 in Tulsa, Okla. He is survived by three sisters, Donna Bryant, Kay and Rosie Vega; son, Kent Gowin and wife Deana; daughter, Cindy Tribble; son-in-law, Gary Tribble; son-in-law, Larry Taylor. He is also survived by grandchildren, Rebecca Dugas, Laura Taylor, Christina Taylor, Joshua Tribble, Larry Taylor, Caleb Tribble, Jonathan Tribble, Christopher Tribble, and Candace Tribble. Surviving great-grandchildren are Armand Dugas, Lydia Dugas, Alana Taylor, Michael Taylor and Amayah Taylor. Jerome Taylor and Silas Dasilva. A memorial service will be held for George on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at United Pentecostal Church in La Grange. Family suggests memorial contributions to United Pentecostal Church, 311 North Horton, La Grange, TX 78945. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange is in charge of arrangements. Frenzel A private memorial service for James “Jim” Everett Frenzel, 73, of Giddings will be held at a later date. James “Jim” Everett Frenzel was born on Nov. 19, 1944 in Burton to Virgil Gilbert Frenzel and Ora Lee (Eckert) Frenzel. Jim died Monday, March 5, 2018 at his residence in Giddings following a recent open heart surgery. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ora Lee Frenzel; step-son, Brian Champine and one sister, Barbara Mueller. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Lynne Frenzel of Giddings; two daughters, Denise Whaley and her husband James of Pearland and Christine Frenzel of Austin; two step sons, Gregory Champine of Austin and Matthew Champine of Austin; two grandchildren, Delaney Conroy of Dallas and William Conroy of Dallas; one brother, Bruce Frenzel and his wife Rosemary of Round Top and two nieces, Kimberly Locke and her husband Jason of Giddings and Laura Baker and her husband Lucas of North Carolina.
