Keilers

Lloydell Keilers, 80, of La Grange, died on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Lloydell was born in Oldenburg on Aug. 26, 1937 the son of Orlean and Aletta (Bauer) Keilers. He married Anna Mae (Hentschel) Keilers on April 18, 1959, in Elgin. He worked as a lineman for Fayette Electric Cooperative for 30 years, and later owned and operated the Oldenburg Store for 15 years in community of Oldenburg. Lloydell was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Grange. He especially enjoyed attending Saturday evening church services. Lloydell enjoyed ranching, tending to his cattle, fishing, hunting, and collecting antique cars. He especially loved spending time with his family and passing along his knowledge of tending cattle. He is survived by son, Mark Keilers and wife, Peggy of La Grange; two granddaughters: Amber Burkham and husband, Quinton of Oldenburg and Stephanie Keilers of La Grange; one great-granddaughter, Lovie Ray Burkham; and sister, Virginia Killough of Oldenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlean and Aletta (Bauer) Keilers; his loving wife, Anna Mae (Hentschel) Keilers, and daughter, Margaret Ann Keilers. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home located at 208 W. Pearl St. in La Grange.
