Hattie Hattie Lovaasen, 94, of Giddings died Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Brookdale Spicewood Springs Senior Living in Austin. Hattie Zoch was born on Aug. 27,1923 in Warda to parents Alvin T. Zoch and Ernestine Mertink Zoch.She is survived by: son Vern Jr. and his wife Yolanda Lovaasen of Austin; daughter Deborah, and her husband Chris Barrow of Austin; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brothers Raymond Zoch, Rudy Zoch, Freddie Zoch, and Eugene Zoch; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Interment followed at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Hattie Lovaasen’s name to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Austin or Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville was in charge of arrangements.
