Jessie Meuth, 79, of Giddings, died of Friday, March 9, 2018 at her residence in Giddings. Jessie Juarez Meuth was born on Dec. 26, 1938 in Bastrop to Pete Juarez Sr. and Inez ( Coy) Juarez. Jessie was united in marriage to Bernard Herman Meuth Sr. on Dec. 3, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pin Oak and they were blessed with six children. Jessie is survived by her special companion, Ismael Aranda of Giddings; six children, Mary Posas and her husband, David Sr. of Giddings, Kathy Meuth of Giddings, Pauline Meuth of Houston, Ben Meuth and his wife, Janet of Giddings, Henrietta Jarvis and her husband, Michael of Paige and Jessica Garcia and her husband, Jesus of Giddings; sixteen grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Sanchez of Abilene and Inez Villalobos of El Paso; two brothers, Benny Juarez of Bastrop and David Juarez of Bastrop as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2017 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings with Father Uche Andeh officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings is in charge of arrangements.
