Quilt Guild Program to Feature Trish Stuart

The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild March program will be held on Tuesday, March 27 at 10 a.m. in the Randolph Recreation Center and will feature Trish Stuart - “How to have success choosing fabrics for your quilts”. Stuart is a fiber artist, author, international teacher and speaker crazy about color and compelled to share. Her earliest memory is sitting under the sewing machine as her mother sewed their clothing.

In 1989 quilting had made a resurgence as beautiful fabrics in saturated colors and patterns became available. She thought of her great grandma Thea making quilt tops and selling them for egg money. She decided it was not nearly as scary as sewing her own clothes, so continuing the tradition of quilting she took up the needle again. Once she found out about rotary cutters and rulers there was no going back.
