Handrick

Funeral services for Brenda Handrick, 53, of Giddings, were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau with Rev. Garrett Smith officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Brenda Kay (Hosea) Handrick was born on Aug. 19, 1964 in Giddings to Herbert Frank Hosea and Laura Lorine (Bittner) Hosea. Brenda graduated from Giddings High School in 1983 and attended Blinn College in Brenham. She was united in marriage to Corey Lynn Handrick on Sept. 12, 1987. She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Hosea; her father-in-law, Harold Handrick and her mother-in-law, Ruth Handrick. Brenda is survived by her husband, Corey Handrick of Giddings; her three sons, Justin Handrick, Taylor Handrick and Ethan Handrick all of Giddings; her father, Herbert Hosea of Giddings; one sister, Darlene Oltmann and her husband, Ralph of Waco; three brothers-in-law, Mike Biar and his wife, Sally of Ledbetter, Chris Handrick and his wife, Tina of Lincoln and Shannon Handrick and his wife, Jackie of Ledbetter as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
