A service to celebrate the life of Francies Lena (Baack) Proske, 88, of Giddings, was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. Francies Lena (Baack) Proske was born on Feb. 3, 1930 in Lexington to Otto and Pearl (Hibbeler) Baack. She was united in marriage to Emil Proske Sr. on Feb. 7, 1948. The Lord called Francies home while a resident at the Giddings Residence and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, March 18, 2018 having reached the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Pearl (Hibbeler) Baack; her husband, Emil Proske Sr.; her sisters and brothers, Inda Baack, Otto Baack and his wife, Billie Ruth, Otis Baack and his wives, Lorine and Barbara, and Mildred Berger and her husband, Norman, and two sisters-in-law, Elsie Mittasch and her husband, John, and Esther Pitts and her husband, Maurice Sr. She is survived by her children, Inda and Neal Immega, Emil Proske Jr., Ann Proske and Robbie Robinson, Jerry and Kathy Proske, Martha and Charlie Mitchum, Carol and Wayne Bennett, Wayne and Dana Proske, John and Beverly Proske, Janice Craddock, and Ray Proske and Cindy J. Anderson; twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Daggs, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
