Blinn-Schulenburg Invites Star Gazers for Spring Party

Blinn College-Schulenburg invites star gazers to Schaefer Observatory for spring ‘star party.’ Visitors will receive a guided tour of the constellations at Blinn’s Schulenburg campus.

Astronomy buffs of all ages are invited to a free stargazing party at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Blinn College-Schulenburg Campus.

Master Astronomer Gordon Houston will begin with a brief presentation, and as darkness falls and the stars become visible, he will conduct a constellation tour. Guests should wear comfortable shoes to climb the ladder to the observatory and may wish to bring a lawn chair, jacket, and insect repellant.
