Bid Awarded for the First Stage of Splashpad Work

The La Grange Splash Pad may finally become a reality. At a meeting on Monday night, April 23, the La Grange City Council awarded a $708,000 bid to Gaeke Construction of Giddings to build the first phase of the project.

The first phase includes updating and improving the entrance to the adjacent Randolph Rec Center gym, additional parking between the gym and splash pad, site work for the splash pad and playscape, and a restroom facility. City manager Shawn Raborn said the project could be complete by October.
