Three Injured in Wreck on US 77

A wreck on US 77 between La Grange and Schulenburg is slowing down traffic at the moment.

The accident happened around 10:40 a.m. According to DPS Trooper Tyler McCoy, an 18-wheeler heading north on US 77 was turning right on Herzik Road when a Lincoln MKX approached and struck the trailer from the rear.

The driver and two passengers were injured. Fayette County EMS transported two to South Austin Medical Center and one to St. Mark’s Hospital in La Grange.

Motorists should expect delays for another half hour.
