Ralph Dean Hackemack, 71, of La Grange died Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Ralph was born in Burton on Oct. 26, 1946, the son of Reginald and Alice (Wolff) Hackemack. He married Marjorie Gaertner on Sept. 9, 1978 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top. Ralph served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged Jan. 2, 1971. He also proudly served in the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, known as the Old Guard, where he was granted White House clearance. Ralph was an avid baseball and college football fan. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and listening to oldies music. He worked as an Auxiliary Operator for LCRA until his retirement. During retirement, he travelled with his wife and also actively pursued a lifelong dream of acting by performing in plays and films. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of 39 years; two sons: Michael Hackemack and wife, Lane, of Ft. Worth; John Stephen Seidel and wife, Julie, of Ft. Worth; and a sister, Joyce Bayer and husband, Virgil, of Houston; three grandchildren: Madeline Hackemack, Christopher Levi Hackemack and Cody Seidel. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 12 to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Grange at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Houston, Attn: Donor Development Office, 6977 Main St, Houston, Texas 77030; St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O.
