Remember when?

June 7-11, 1968

Sgt. Allen E. Faldyn Jr. of the U.S. Marine Corps suffered the loss of his left eye in enemy action in Vietnam. His parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Allen Faldyn Sr. of La Grange, were advised of the injury by telegram.

Sgt. Larry Kasper, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kasper of La Grange, Rt. 4, sustained very serious head, face and abdomen injuries, as well as fractures of both legs from metal fragments in enemy action in Vietnam. Sgt. Kasper, 20, was a graduate of La Grange High School, who had been in the U.S. Army since May 1967.
