Funeral services for Frank “Bud” Botkin, 75, of Lincoln are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington with Pastor Chris Bruce and Pastor Kevin Mahr officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. Frank “Bud” Emerson Botkin was born on July 9, 1943 in Riverton, Wy., the son of Frank and Norma (Stone) Botkin. He married Pat Newman on Nov. 14, 1975 in Harlingen. Bud is survived by his wife, Pat Botkin of Lincoln; his two daughters, Teresa Boening and her husband, Daniel “Shorty” of La Grange and LaVon Whittington and her husband, Tom of Cat Spring; three grandchildren, Derrick Eliott and his wife, Dede of Ammansville, Jennifer Eliott of Cat Spring and Andrea Russo and her husband, Anthony of Pasadena; three great grandchildren, Louis Russo, Lacie Eliott and Alyssa Ramirez; one sister, Patty Miller of Dubois, Wyoming as well as several nieces, nephews, many friends, and his fellow Giddings Breakfast Lions Club members. Memorials may be made to the Texas Lions Camp, the Giddings Breakfast Lions Club, the Cowboy Church of Lee County Building Fund or to the charity of one’s choice. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
