Dorothy Barta Migl, 86, died on Thursday July 26, 2018 in Hallettsville. Dorothy was born March 17, 1932 in Praha to Edwin and Julia (Faltisek) Barta. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, KJZT, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Dorothy is survived by her sons Samuel Migl and wife Kathy and Mark Migl and wife Rhonda, and grandchildren Christopher Migl, Brooke Migl and Easton Migl. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bowdy Migl and one brother Marvin Barta. A visitation for Dorothy was held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia. A rosary was held Monday, July 30, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. with funeral mass following at 10 a.m. officiated by Father Eddie Winkler. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Praha. Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Migl, Easton Migl, Stanley Migl, John Mikulik, Dennis Tousek, and Charlie Migl Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Wagner and Milton Barta Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.smithfuneralhomeflatonia.com for the Migl family. Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia was in charge of arrangements.
